Our village has a millenary history that begins with the institution of the Corte di Alfiano. Let's start right away!

The birth of the Corte di Alfiano and the village of Corte de' Frati

The history of our village is linked to the institution of the Corte di Alfiano. It was precisely in that area that the church of Grumone, the monastery, and Alfianello, along with other neighboring territories, were located. In the 10th century, the Corte di Alfiano came under the control of the Monastery of Santa Giulia. In the 13th century, the village of Corte de' Frati, which belonged to the fief of Alfiano, began to be called as such. During the Napoleonic era, from 1810 to 1816, the new municipality of Corte de' Frati was constituted, and Alfiano became a hamlet. However, with the constitution of the Kingdom of Lombardy-Veneto, Alfiano regained its municipal autonomy, and in 1863 changed its name to "Alfiano ed Uniti." Finally, in 1868, the municipality of Alfiano ed Uniti was merged into the municipality of Corte de' Frati following the Napoleonic scheme.
