Hi everyone! Let me tell you about Cornale e Bastida, a municipality of 820 inhabitants in the province of Pavia, Lombardy.

History

The municipality of Cornale e Bastida was established only in 2014, when the municipalities of Bastida de' Dossi and Cornale merged. The decision was made after a consultative referendum held the previous year, on December 1, 2013.

Cornale and Bastida: the new Lombard municipality.

Symbols

The municipality has a coat of arms and a gonfalon granted by the President of the Republic in 2016. The coat of arms depicts a Cornus mas plant, also known as cornale, which is a pun on the previous coat of arms of Cornale. The gonfalon has two colors: white and green, symmetrically divided.
