History

In 2016, the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene entered the list of UNESCO heritage sites as a cultural landscape thanks to the decisive contribution of local winemakers. In 2018, the site was rejected, but improvement work led to a historic recognition in 2019.

Geography

These hills are located east of the Treviso province and are part of the wine production area of Conegliano Valdobbiadene - Prosecco DOCG. The main hills extend from Vittorio Veneto to Valdobbiadene.

Core Zone

The "Core Zone" is the heart of the area and covers an area of 9,197.45 hectares. It doesn't coincide with the municipal boundaries and is located between Valdobbiadene, Vidor, Miane, Farra di Soligo, Pieve di Soligo, Follina, Cison di Valmarino, Refrontolo, San Pietro di Feletto, Revine Lago, Tarzo and Vittorio Veneto.
