Levada

Geography

Hello everyone! Today I want to talk to you about a very common place name in Veneto: Levada. The name comes from Latin "via levata", which means road whose bottom is higher than the surrounding territory. In this Italian region, in fact, there are several places that bear this name.

For example, there is Levada, a hamlet of the municipality of Piombino Dese, in the province of Padua. Here you can enjoy lush nature and a relaxing atmosphere. Levada di Ponte di Piave is also a beautiful location, surrounded by greenery and ideal for those seeking a little peace.

There are two other locations with the name Levada in the municipality of Pederobba and in the municipality of Godega di Sant'Urbano, both in the province of Treviso. Here there are several outdoor activities to try, such as cycling or hiking.

Finally, there is Levada di Concordia Sagittaria, a location in the metropolitan city of Venice. Here you can admire a beautiful historic center with ancient buildings and important monuments.

In short, if you are nature and culture lovers, the locations of Levada are perfect for you!
