Colleretto Giacosa
Welcome to Colleretto Giacosa!
Hi everyone! Today, I'll be telling you about a delightful Italian municipality located in the metropolitan city of Turin in Piedmont: Colleretto Giacosa.
Society
To start with, I'll tell you something about the society of this town. As of December 31st, 2017, the population amounted to 586 inhabitants. But not only Italians! In fact, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics, the municipality also hosts 42 foreign citizens, mainly from Romania.
Administration
But let's move on. Before becoming the autonomous municipality we know today, Colleretto Giacosa was part of a single administrative entity along with Loranzè, Parella, Quagliuzzo, and Strambinello. During the fascist period, a decree was issued that unified these five localities into a single administrative entity called "Pedanea". It was only in 1947 that the five localities regained their autonomy.
Finally, here's a table listing all the administrations that have succeeded in this municipality.
Sports
But let's get to what many of you would be more interested in: sports. In Colleretto Giacosa, the local football team, "Colleretto G. Pedanea", with its yellow-blue social colors, plays in the first category championship. Who knows, maybe one day they could become even more famous!
Notes
Finally, here are the references to the official document that presents this town.
