Physical Geography
San Martino is located northeast of the capital of Colle Umberto. It is a panoramic place, overlooking the hills of Ogliano and Carpesica, the area of San Giacomo di Veglia and Vittorio Veneto, and the towns of the foothills. On the other side, visitors can admire Cordignano and the area of Godega di Sant'Urbano and Orsago. To the east of the hill, there is a very fertile plain, rich in water, thanks to the presence of the Meschio river.

Religious Architecture
The Archpriest Church
The first stop for those visiting San Martino is the Archpriest Church, dedicated to St. Martin, the most well-known among the saints that give the name to the town. The church stands on the highest point of the hill, next to the bell tower. The construction dates back to the 15th century, and during the 19th century, it underwent significant renovations that determined its current appearance. The facade, in a gable style with a tympanum, has a large medallion depicting the saint, while the lower part is divided into seven round arches, two of which are lateral. Inside, you can admire a ceiling where a large fresco stands out, representing the Glory of St. Martin and the Assumption of the Virgin into heaven. Instead, the altar painting is a panel from 1678 made by Gaspare Fiorentini, depicting St. Martin among the saints Anthony and Florian.
The Oratories
San Martino di Colle Umberto is also characterized by the presence of numerous oratories distributed in the various districts of the town, places of worship linked to an ancient and rooted popular tradition. Among the oratories to visit, we highlight:
- Oratory of Borgo San Rocco: located at the foot of the ascent that leads to the Archpriest Church, it was built in the 19th century as a votive offering at the end of the epidemic of plague that ravaged between 1852 and 1854. It has a gable facade with a tympanum and two windows with stone frames.
