History

Appearing for the first time in the 12th century as a place of transit for pilgrims headed to Rome, Casalini is characterized by the presence of numerous farmsteads where the term "Casalini" referred to large farmhouses with plots of land. It is believed that the name derives precisely from these ancient buildings present in the area.

During these days, the small church of the village hosts a triduum and the solemn procession through the streets of the village gathers the entire community. Moreover, for a long time, every September, the Grape Festival takes place, a celebration of the most beloved fruit of the Itria Valley.
