The municipality of Chiopris Viscone boasts a very interesting position, being crossed by three waterways: the Corno, the Judrio and the Torre. You can admire these natural views during a walk or an outdoor excursion.
The history of our municipality
Our municipality has an ancient history, dating back at least to the thirteenth century. Chiopris, in particular, is first mentioned in 1230, while Viscone dates back to the year 1020! Our localities have experienced various events, passing from a series of lordships and counties to finally reaching, with annexation to Italy, the Province of Udine.
Symbols of our municipality
Our municipality has coats of arms and a banner that represent it. In particular, the coat of arms, with its composition of colors, encapsulates the history and culture of our land.

The territory of our municipality is dotted with suggestive places. In particular, the three churches present in our territory should not be missed, as they represent our religious tradition and our architectural heritage. Additionally, the Monument to the Fallen of all Wars constitutes an important historical testimony of our past.

Our municipality still preserves evidence of the ancient agricultural economy, which was the beating heart of our community. In recent decades, however, our reality has undergone considerable transformation, with industrial development at the expense of agriculture.
