Villa Inferno

Welcome to Villa Inferno

Hello everyone! Today I want to introduce you to Villa Inferno, a beautiful hamlet in the municipality of Cervia. Around 800 people live here, but in the past, the population was even larger, and there were even schools.

The History of Villa Inferno

Until the 1950s, Villa Inferno was crossed by a road that connected Cervia to Cesena, passing through Pontecucco-Calabrina. However, with the construction of the Cervia Airport, the hamlet lost its importance as a crossing point.

The hamlet is bordered by Pisignano (Cervia), Montaletto, Tantlon, and the Cervia Salt Pans. There is also a small village called "Sant'Andrea" next to the church.

Today, Villa Inferno has become an agricultural center and has seen the development of a large craft area. Additionally, the hamlet is home to the Museum of Puppets and Figures, which houses a collection of Padan puppets dating back to the late 19th century, ancient scripts and props, painted backdrops, 18th and 19th century marionettes, Sicilian puppets, and 19th-century wooden heads.

But if you prefer to be in contact with nature, Villa Inferno also offers the opportunity to take long walks in the countryside and enjoy the fresh and clean air. Furthermore, the agricultural landscape is characterized by vineyards, wheat fields, and much more.

To reach Villa Inferno, you can take the State Road 254, which connects it to the center of Cervia and the A14 motorway. Alternatively, you can take the road that connects Villa Inferno to Cesena, which will allow you to admire beautiful views along the way.

Conclusions

In summary, Villa Inferno is a beautiful hamlet in Cervia that is worth visiting. Here you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of the countryside, admire works of art, and learn more about local traditions. I highly recommend including Villa Inferno on your list of places to visit when you are in Romagna.
