Ceranova
Greetings from Ceranova!
Hello everyone! Today, I am going to talk to you about Ceranova, a municipality in Lombardy that makes me proud and is my home. I hope that this brief presentation will help you appreciate the wonders of my city.
The history of Ceranova
Ceranova has a long history, dating back to the Middle Ages when it was known as "Cella Nova". It was part of the territory surrounding the city of Pavia, specifically the "Campagna Sottana". In 1622, it was granted to the Panigarola family, and in 1741 it passed to the Marquis Cavalli. In 1929, the municipality was abolished and merged with Lardirago, but it was re-established in 1947 and in 1963 it absorbed the Gioiello fraction, previously belonging to Lardirago.
The coat of arms and banner
The coat of arms and banner of our municipality were granted by decree of the President of the Republic on January 9, 2001. They are a symbol of pride for all the citizens of Ceranova and represent our history and culture.
