Celle di Bulgheria
Welcome to Celle di Bulgheria!
Hello everyone! Today I will talk about a small town in Campania: Celle di Bulgheria. With its 1729 inhabitants, it is located in the southern part of Cilento and takes its name from Mount Bulgheria, which stands at 234 meters high.
A bit of history
The history of this town is interesting: the proto-Bulgarians inhabited this land, while the monks founded monasteries and cells from which the name "Celle" derives. From 1811 to 1860 it was part of the Administrative Subdivision of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and from 1860 to 1927 of the Torre Orsaja district.
