Cazzago Brabbia, also known as ''Cazägh'' in the Varese dialect, has ancient origins dating back to the pre-Roman period. Over the centuries, the city's historical events have been intertwined with those of nearby towns until, in 1863, it was renamed Cazzago Brabbia. Monuments and places of interest
One of the most interesting places in Cazzago Brabbia is the Church of San Carlo, built in the seventeenth century and rich in valuable paintings from the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries. Also, in the town center, one can admire the plaques dedicated to the fallen of the two world wars, dating back to 1918 and 1946. Finally, one cannot fail to mention the icehouses, built at the end of the eighteenth century and a testament to peasant culture of that time.

The municipality of Cazzago Brabbia has a long history that dates back to ancient times. Over the centuries, the city has slowly grown to count 231 inhabitants in 1751, 239 in 1805 and 643 in 1853. In 1809, Cazzago Brabbia was temporarily annexed to Travedona, before regaining its autonomy.
Administration
Cazzago Brabbia was part of the province of Como from 1801 to 1927 before becoming part of the province of Varese. The administration of the municipality is very active and works constantly to improve the quality of life of its citizens. Every year, numerous initiatives are organized to promote the territory and local culture.
