Welcome to Malpaga: where history and nature meet

Hello! Are you ready to discover Malpaga, a fraction of the municipality of Cavernago, in the province of Bergamo? This small village, located about 13 km from the capital, will surprise you with its history and natural beauty.

Monuments and places of interest

One of the most visited places in Malpaga is the Castle of Malpaga, located in the center of the village and inside the Parco del Serio. This ancient manor belonged to the Visconti family and was restored by the famous condottiero Bartolomeo Colleoni in 1456. From that moment on, the castle became the seat of his court and was enriched with important works of art.

If you are passionate about architecture, you cannot miss the Church of San Giovanni Battista, located in the main square of Malpaga. This Renaissance-style church was built between the 16th and 17th centuries and preserves valuable frescoes and paintings inside.

Not far from the inhabited center, there is also Cascina Sant'Egidio, an ancient farmhouse from the 17th century that offers a rural living experience. Here you can enjoy the beauty of the Bergamo countryside and taste local products.
