History

In the late Middle Ages, the town was part of the Pieve di Porlezza of the Duchy of Milan and followed the fate of the area until the end of the 18th century. The small church has undergone several restorations and was described in detail by Federico Borromeo, following a visit to the site. The plaster commissioned by Federico allowed the discovery of a series of frescoes dating back to the 15th and 18th centuries. Inside, it preserves some frescoes dating back to the 15th-17th centuries.
