Physical Geography
Castello Tesino is located in the southeastern part of the province of Trento, bordering Veneto. The town extends on the slopes of Mount Picosta, south of Vanoi and east of Grigno. Castello Tesino's territory is nestled in the Tesino Plateau, extending at an average altitude of 840 meters above sea level. The area is surrounded by mountains such as Cima d'Asta, Contemoro, Agaro, and Monte Coppolo, as well as a dense hydrographic network with many streams running through it.
Castello Tesino borders the municipalities of Canal San Bovo and Pieve Tesino to the north, Grigno and Arsiè to the south, and Canal San Bovo, Cinte Tesino, and Lamon to the east. The western boundary of the municipality is represented by the Vanoi River, while the eastern boundary extends between Passo Brocon, Val Viosa, and part of the eastern slope of Cima d'Asta. The southern part of Castello Tesino overlooks Valsugana and includes steep hillsides overlooking Lake Celado, while the eastern part of the municipality is home to Monte Coppolo and the Cainari hamlet.
