Castel del Giudice is a small Italian municipality in the province of Isernia, located in the Molise region. With just over 300 inhabitants, it is a peaceful and charming place that preserves a millennia-old history and a precious cultural heritage.
History
Castel del Giudice has ancient origins dating back to the Norman era, when the town was known as Castellum Iudicis. The name probably derives from the noble Iodice family, or from the local administrator who was responsible for justice.
Over the centuries, Castel del Giudice has hosted several feudal families, including the Caldora family, known for giving birth to two famous condottieri, Raimondo and Jacopo Caldora. In the 20th century, the town was affected by the phenomenon of emigration, with many inhabitants leaving their land to seek fortune elsewhere.

The coat of arms and the flag of Castel del Giudice were granted in 1989 by the President of the Republic. The coat of arms depicts a heart-shaped shield, topped with a bishop's crown, and bearing a sword and a balance in the center, symbols of justice and balance. The flag has the colors green, white, and red and is decorated with the municipal coat of arms.

- Church of the Immaculate Conception: built in the 18th century, the church is located in via Umberto I and has an interior with two naves and a sacristy on the left.
- Sanctuary of the Madonna in Saletta: located outside the town, the sanctuary is a destination for pilgrimages and popular devotion. Inside there is a statue of the Madonna with the Child.
- Chapel of Saint Anthony: located on the outskirts of the town, the chapel has recently been restored and has a simple but suggestive architecture.
