Arpino

Arpino: a Fraction of Casoria

Hello everyone! Today I'm talking about Arpino, the fraction located in the municipality of Casoria, in the Campania region. Being the only fraction of the municipality, Arpino is a small village that deserves to be known.

Physical Geography

Arpino is located south of Casoria, near the borders with the municipalities of Volla and Naples. In particular, the fraction is located close to Naples-Capodichino airport and the Poggioreale district. Within the fraction, there are several districts, including San Salvatore, which was once part of the nearby city of Afragola. Today San Salvatore is a commercial area with also a disused industrial area.

Infrastructure and Transport

Roads

The Arpino fraction is crossed by the SS7 bis di Terra di Lavoro, which follows the route of the oldest National road of Puglia for several stretches. In addition, Arpino is served by the outer ring road of Naples, facilitating travel by car.

Railways

If you prefer public transport, I recommend the Volla station of the Circumvesuviana Railway. The station is located on the border with the municipality of Volla and offers excellent connections to the Naples-Nola-Baiano Railway.
