Caselle Lurani is a municipality located in the province of Lodi, in Lombardy, with a population of around 3,000 inhabitants. The municipality has a long history dating back to the Visconti family, who granted it to the Trivulzio family in the 14th century, and later passed to the Lurani family in 1647. In 1691, it became a county and during the Napoleonic era it was added to Marudo. In 1863, the municipality was renamed Caselle Lurani to distinguish it from other places with the same name.
