History
To know the history of Cancello ed Arnone you have to take a dive into the past. In 1114, the locality of Arnone was mentioned in a document of the monastery of Sant'Angelo in Formis, while over the centuries the territory passed under the dominion of various noble families and the archbishops of Capua. In the seventeenth century, thanks to the initiative of the Spanish viceroys, work began on the reclamation of the municipal land, which was only completed after the Second World War.

Cancello ed Arnone is also a municipality open to the reception of migrants. According to ISTAT data in December 2010, the resident foreign population was 382 people, with Romanians (2.27%) and Indians (1.66%) being the most represented nationalities.

The municipality of Cancello ed Arnone is served by the provincial road via Santa Maria a Cubito and the Cancello Arnone Station on the Rome-Naples/Formia railway.
