Monuments and places of interest

One of the most interesting places is undoubtedly the Church of San Iacopo, located in the historical center of the village. Built in the 13th century, it is a true architectural gem that stands atop a hill and offers breathtaking views of the Serchio valley. But it's not the only noteworthy church: there are also the Churches of Santa Maria Assunta in Puglianella and Vitoio, both dating back to the 14th century, and the Church of San Biagio in Poggio.

Society

Camporgiano has just over 2000 inhabitants, but it is a very welcoming and active community. In recent years, the resident foreign population has increased, reaching 107 people. The most represented nationalities are Romania and the United Kingdom.

Infrastructure and transport

Regional road 445 crosses Camporgiano, connecting it to other centers of Garfagnana. It is possible to use the public bus service provided by CTT Nord to get around, but if you prefer rail transport, there is the Camporgiano station, served by Trenitalia trains on the Lucca-Aulla line.
