Hello everyone, today I want to introduce you to a very beautiful and important city in Emilia-Romagna: Reggio Emilia. This city has a population of about 169,640 inhabitants and is the capital of the province of Reggio Emilia.

Reggio Emilia is located on the Po Valley and is crossed by the Crostolo stream. The municipal territory is completely flat and wet from numerous watercourses and minor streams.

Reggio Emilia was founded by Marco Emilio Lepido in 187 BC along the via Emilia, the ancient road of the Roman Empire. The city also played an important role in modern Italian history, as the Italian flag was first shown here on January 7, 1797.
