However, the Etruscan presence on the hill overlooking Ambra to the east, called Poggio Castiglioni, is documented by systematic archaeological investigations. The settlement developed on an artificial plateau supported by a monumental wall, and inside it, masonry structures corresponding to various dwellings have been recovered. The use of the site can be attributed to the last period of the 7th century and the second half of the 6th century BC.
