Bubbiano

Welcome to Bubbiano!

Hello everyone! Today we will talk about Bubbiano, a charming Italian municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan, Lombardy. With its 2462 inhabitants, Bubbiano offers a nice stop for those who want to discover the history and beauty of the Lombard territory.

History

The first historical traces of Bubbiano date back to 1160 when the village, although of modest size, was mentioned in the context of an exchange of some land properties belonging to the Abbey of Morimondo. Initially an agricultural village, it became autonomous in the 12th century thanks to the appointment of its own consuls. In the following century, it fell under siege by Frederick II of Swabia in the context of the struggle with the Lombard League municipalities, then following the fate of national history.
