Fognano

Welcome to Fognano Station!

If you're traveling through the beautiful Tuscany and need to reach the picturesque town of Fognano and its surroundings, this is the train station for you!

History

Fognano Station was built along the Florence-Faenza railway, a line connecting the cities of Florence and Faenza and crossing picturesque hilly landscapes and valleys.

Fognano Station: a picturesque journey through the Tuscan hills.

Facilities and equipment

Our station has a passenger building, which is currently used as a private residence. To the right of the main building, there is another structure. Additionally, there is a goods yard, which unfortunately is no longer in use. It consists of a freight warehouse, a loading platform, and two connecting tracks.

Train service

Fognano Station is served by regional trains managed by Trenitalia, as part of the service contract signed with the Tuscany region. Traveling here means having the possibility of admiring the wonderful landscapes of the Tuscan countryside!

In November 2019, the station recorded an average daily traffic of around 117 people, with 49 boarding and 68 alighting.

Services

Our train station is classified as "bronze" by the Italian Rail Network. Unfortunately, this means that we do not have services such as ticket counters, bars, or shops, but we are ready to welcome you with the warmth of our hills and the beauty of our landscape!

Notes and bibliography

We invite you to consult the line 93 folder of the Italian Rail Network for more details on our station.
