Among the various Briones in Italy, there are Brione in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy; Brione in the province of Trento, in Trentino-Alto Adige, which includes a splendid mountain; Brione in the province of Bergamo; and finally Brione in the Metropolitan City of Turin.

Switzerland

In Switzerland, we have three Briones, all located in the Locarno district, in Ticino: Brione-Gerra, Brione sopra Minusio, and Brione Verzasca.

Brione in Italy

Brione in Brescia

Let's begin our journey from the Brione located in the province of Brescia, Lombardy. This municipality has a population of just over 700 inhabitants and includes two hamlets: Brione and Codena.

The territory is mountainous and hilly, characterized by the presence of Lake Iseo and the National Park of Rock Engravings of Naquane, where you can admire rock engravings dating back to the Bronze Age.

Brione in Trentino-Alto Adige

The Brione located in the province of Trento is a hamlet of the municipality of Borgo Chiese and is located at an altitude of 678 meters on the slopes of the homonymous mountain, Monte Brione. This area offers the opportunity to do hiking and trekking immersed in nature, and from the top of the mountain, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley below.

Brione in Bergamo

The Brione located in the province of Bergamo is a hamlet of Monasterolo del Castello, a municipality that extends along the shores of Lake Endine. It is a high mountain area, characterized by breathtaking views and a very traditional and rural way of life.

Brione in Turin

Finally, the Brione located in the Metropolitan City of Turin is a hamlet of Val della Torre and is about 30 kilometers from the city of Turin. This area is characterized by the presence of two important rivers, the Dora Riparia and the Chisone, and offers numerous outdoor activities such as rafting and trekking.

The Brione located in Brione-Gerra, in Ticino, is a former municipality that today is part of the municipality of Lavertezzo. The village is located at an altitude of 562 meters and is characterized by the presence of numerous streams and waterfalls. One of the most famous places in the area is the Ponte dei Salti, a pedestrian bridge that crosses the Verzasca River.

Brione sopra Minusio

Brione sopra Minusio, also in Ticino, is a municipality located at 558 meters above sea level and overlooks Lake Maggiore. Among the most famous attractions of the place are the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sasso, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Locarno, and the Camellia Park, which hosts numerous species of camellias from all over the world.

Brione Verzasca

Finally, Brione Verzasca is a municipality located at an altitude of 586 meters and, as suggested by the name, is located in the Verzasca Valley. In this area, it is possible to do numerous outdoor activities, such as canyoning or trekking, but also to visit beautiful places such as the Contra Dam, located in the heart of the valley.
