Breguzzo: a hamlet of the municipality of Sella Giudicarie
Hi everyone! Today I will talk to you about Breguzzo, a small hamlet of the municipality of Sella Giudicarie, located in the province of Trento. Before being incorporated into the municipality of Sella Giudicarie on December 31, 2015, Breguzzo was an autonomous municipality. Currently, it has 569 inhabitants and offers some tourist attractions that I invite you to discover with me.
Monuments and places of interest
If you visit Breguzzo, you cannot miss the Church of Sant'Andrea, which dates back to the thirteenth century. This ancient religious building represents an important historical-artistic heritage of the area. Moreover, you can visit the Chapel of the Holy Souls in Purgatory, dating back to 1839. Both buildings are worth a visit to admire the beauty of the architecture and the works of art kept inside.

Demographic evolution
From a demographic point of view, Breguzzo has 569 inhabitants, but has undergone a significant population decline in recent decades. In 1961, there were in fact 873 residents: this means that the current population of the hamlet has decreased by over 30% from 1961 to today.
Administration
As you have already read, until December 2015, Breguzzo was an autonomous municipality. Subsequently, it was incorporated into the municipality of Sella Giudicarie, together with the municipalities of Bondo, Lardaro, and Roncone. The Mayor heads the municipality, representing the executive body of public administration, assisted by the Municipal Council, which has the task of deliberating on the main issues in the management of the territory.
