Bovolone is a town located in the province of Verona, in the heart of the Veronese plain. With its 16,142 inhabitants, it is one of the main towns in the province in terms of population and was given the title of city in 1994.

The territory of Bovolone is very vast, with an area of ​​41.41 km². It is located southeast of Verona, between the Veronese plain and the lower Veronese. It is crossed by the Menago river and its valley has become a protected natural area, the Parco Valle del Menago, which extends over 35 hectares of land.

The municipal territory is characterized by the dry plain to the north and the irrigated wet plain to the south. Along the territory, one can admire the provincial road that connects Verona to Legnago and, along it, one can find the hamlet of Villafontana.

Climate

The city's climate is continental, with high temperatures in summer and low temperatures in winter. The relative humidity is very high and often fog occurs throughout the year. Additionally, the municipality of Bovolone falls under the Italian municipal climate classification with 2324 degree days. January, the coldest month, records an average temperature of around -2 °C, while July is the warmest month with temperatures above 30°C.

Rainfall is mainly concentrated between April and June and between October and November, with a peak in August. On average, this is the rainiest month of the year.
