The territory of Bolzano is characterized by a vast basin delimited to the west by the Mendola Coastline, the Monte Renon to the northeast, and the Monte Pozza to the southeast. The city itself is located at an altitude of 265 meters above sea level, and its nearest mountains can be reached via cable cars that allow you to overcome differences in altitude of about a thousand meters.

The Talvera stream runs through the city and flows into the Isarco, which in turn joins the Adige just south of Bolzano. The historic center of the city is located between the Talvera, Isarco, and Monte Tondo.

Climate

The climate of Bolzano is subcontinental, with winter lows below zero and summer highs that can exceed 35 degrees. Precipitation is not very abundant, but it is mainly concentrated in summer.
