Welcome to Vaglierano Basso!

If you are looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to live or spend a few days of vacation, Vaglierano Basso is the place for you. This village, which is part of the municipality of Asti, is a small jewel in the heart of the Piedmont countryside.

A bit of history

Vaglierano Basso has an ancient and interesting history, rooted in the Roman period. It was one of the strategic points of the ancient via Aemilia Scauri, the road that connected Piacenza to Aquileia. The village was also an important commercial and artisan center in the Middle Ages, thanks to the presence of some workshops and an annual fair dedicated to iron processing.

Today, the hamlet is very different from the Vaglierano of the past, but still retains some elements of its history, such as the tower of the ancient castle, which stands proudly in the center of the village.
