Sorbara: Asola's district discovers the Bronze Age

Hello everyone! Today I am talking about Sorbara, a beautiful district in the municipality of Asola, in the province of Mantua. If you are passionate about archaeology, here you can find a real gem: the Sorbara Necropolis of the Bronze Age, discovered in recent years!

The history of Count Paolo Tosio's family palace

But there is also a lot of history to discover here. For example, in Count Paolo Tosio's family palace, born here on March 22, 1775. This count became an important art collector and his family settled in Brescia, but often stayed in the country house in Sorbara.

Donation of the palace to the community

And Count Tosio was so attached to Sorbara that, on March 12, 1832, he decided to donate his palace (recently restored in 2009), the church, and the village square to the citizens of Sorbara! A gesture of great generosity, which has been appreciated and maintained over time.
