The history of Tezze

Tezze has had a difficult past, especially during the two world wars. The First World War left indelible traces, but the Second World War was even more devastating. During the conflict, the hamlet was bombed by the Allies with the aim of destroying the bridge over the Guà. In 1945, the Germans settled in the Tezze elementary school, and the attacks were focused on this building, destroying it. The damage then spread to the rest of the town and surrounding countryside.

Tezze is a hamlet rich in history and culture, with many monuments and places of interest. Among these is the Church of Sant'Agata, in the center of the village. The church has been dedicated to the saint since 1413, following the siege of the Hungarians at the Arzignano Castle, and was then expanded in 1931.
