Arre

Welcome to Arre

Hello everyone! Today I will talk to you about Arre, a small rural municipality located in the province of Padua in Veneto, Italy. Arre has a population of 2,104 inhabitants and is a peaceful and welcoming place, ideal for those who want to live away from the chaos of the city. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Venetian countryside, Arre is the right choice for you!

The territory of Arre

Arre is located 23 km from Padua, in a flat area between the Adige and Bacchiglione rivers. The territory of the municipality extends over an area of 12.41 km² and borders the municipalities of Terrassa Padovana, Candiana, Agna, Bagnoli di Sopra, and Conselve. Arre has a single inhabited center, but there are also some scattered houses in the surrounding countryside.

The territory of Arre is entirely flat, with an altitude that ranges from four to six meters above sea level. The soils are alluvial and have a varied composition of materials such as clays, sands, and peats. The presence of "brusaure," large sandy patches, is evidence of the passage of an ancient river course in the area. Arre is located within the Bacchiglione-Basso Adige hydrographic basin, characterized by impermeable soils and by a slope of the land that makes it difficult for water to drain. For this reason, numerous ditches and drains have been built to collect water from cultivated land.
