Turin is located in the plain delimited by the rivers Stura di Lanzo, Sangone, and Po, and is surrounded by the alpine valleys of Val di Susa, Valli di Lanzo, and Val Sangone that connect it to nearby France through the Frejus tunnels. The city can also be admired within UNESCO-protected areas that are very well maintained and fascinating.
